Growing Up Backwards: Lessons Learned from ChildreN

Kathleen and her daughter, Beth Keenan Ryan, a senior child life specialist and head of Lekotek, a program for children with special needs, combined their experience at Lurie Children’s Hospital Chicago and wrote a book that pays homage to what they have learned from children. The stories are told in prose, poetry and photos and include child development tips that apply to all children.              A percentage of profits from book sales were donated to Lurie Children’s.
